It's Almost Time (17 days to be exact)
It's coming down to my departure date. There is a lot that went into this move, but it's almost here and I couldn't be happier or more excited about the adventures that are so close!
There is still a lot to do to finish the process but at this point I couldn't be happier. I didn't realize how spoiled I was when I moved to Cali and did the Disney College Program. They did my apartment, job, and just about everything that I had to do myself this time around. Finding an apartment wasn't necessarily hard to do, there were a lot of girls selling their contracts, and I found the perfect situation. The hard part was the process of application, contract, first and last months rent, moving into an apartment with 5 other girls, etc.
The job situation couldn't be better. I will have my PF job up there in Spanish Fork, which is only a fifteen minute drive from my apartment. I also have another opportunity with a part time job that hopefully will work out and give me the rest of the hours I'll need. If not, things will work out how they need to.
I'm also excited to spend time with the family that live up near the area. Family I don't get to see very often.
So many adventure and experiences await! Can't wait to see what it has to offer!

Thank you!
What better thing to write about than giving thanks? November seems to bring about the thankful, grateful, and love of a lot of people. And sometimes it's impossible not to take a moment and be so thankful for everything you have. Today I am thankful for a mother. A comforting mother, that even though she had to work from 11:30pm until 9am, she still took the time to love and comfort me after my long day at work. It's so hard for me to think that I am leaving her in 35 days. When I went to Cali, even though I told myself it would be permanent, part of me knew it wasn't. But, this time. I am really growing up and doing my own thing. I am officially moving out. Granted, I know that I will be home for vacation, holidays, and other events, but all in all, these are probably the last days I will reside here. So, it's hard to think of leaving her. Of leaving that comfort. I am taking advantage of all the time I have left with them.Of course, on the topic of Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving is obviously something to come up. This year, we spend Thanksgiving with my mom's family. They are the best. I mean, honestly. We are always laughing, joking, loud, and happy. From SponTUNEous to UNO we did it all. I so grateful to have family members so willing to let me in. My aunt has offered to let me do laundry at her house so I don't ave to use the coin laundry at the apartment complex, and they have offered up so much more than I could have ever asked for. I'm grateful for having two hands. Earlier this week, I cut my hand pretty severely at work. I just about had to have stitches and a tetanus shot. :/ eek!! It really has made me grateful for the full use of all of my body parts. I have had to work around using my hand, and it's really not as easy as it sounds.I am SO SO SO SO SO SO SO grateful for my baby boy Bruce. It's hard to think I'll be leaving him for a while until I know where my life is leading me.... and let's face it....that will probably be for the whole span of my Bachelors degree... I miss him already. I miss his warm cuddles and his mischievousness. I am grateful for forgiveness, as well as the opportunity we have to ask forgiveness even if it isn't returned. It's important to realize that even though someone else may not understand, that you still did your part and that doesn't change either way.Anyway, there are so many more things I could list, but I'll stop there for your sake.I hope that everyone had a great thanksgiving that that you all have a safe winter to come.

Today...
Well guys... today I did something extremely exciting... I changed a flat tire... Well, it wasn't really flat. More like blown. Torn apart. Un-fixable. You get the picture. I don't know what caused it, but hey, I changed a tire and it was... pretty exhilarating... NOT! It's not a huge deal because I have a warranty with Discount Tire and they will replace the tire for free, so no $$$ out of my pocket.
Anyway, that was my exciting story... Adios amigos!

Another year over...
With my title you'd think that maybe I have my months mixed up.. it's definitely not January. And while that is very true, a very important chapter in my life seems to finally have made passing... maybe... Ask me in a week or so.
Anyway, what is this time period marking a year for? Well, a lot of things. The ending of a friendship, while at the same time the gaining of one. I can't believe it has been a year since I decided to make big changes in my life. There are still a few things I wish I could do to tie up loose ends, but until I get past my ego, this will have to do.
So many memories. I met my "Soul Sister". We hit it off so fast I can't even remember there being a time that Carissa and I weren't comfortable in our friendship.
Then of course there are all the adventures we took together. From Vegas trips, Phantom and Love Never Dies, Coral Pink, Lord of the Rings, movies, movies, and more movies, and so much more.

A Temporary Home
Well guys, it seems that my journey to find housing wasn't as scary and complicated as I initially thought it would be. I found a few girls who were selling their contracts for the winter term and it worked out perfect. I'll be living in Miller Apartments for at least December through April. And who knows, maybe I'll love it enough to extend. It seems that everything is falling into it's correct spot.
I'm so grateful for the people in my life helping me through all of this. Especially Mrs. Kirstie Semler. She has gone through this process before and has helped me so much in figuring out the things I need. Also to my parents who are so supportive (even though my mom secretly lets me know how much she wants me to stay ;)) and are helping me so much and who will continue to help me when I am on my own.
Life is about adventures and taking risks and learning who you are. I can't wait to make all of those discoveries and see what I become.

Now We Are Getting Somewhere
Sometimes life has a habit it getting stuck. Stuck in a funk. Stuck in a place. Stuck in a time. There are just too many places for it to get trapped. Luckily, I am finally leaving one of those times in my life. My life has changed a lot in the last year, and even though I miss some of the friendships, jokes, and smiles that came with it, I've learned how to make new ones. My darling best friend Carissa is engaged and I'm am so happy for her. She is such an inspiration to me. She excels in everything she does, and deserves to be happy more than anyone I know. So wedding plans are a go! I'm so excited to have that experienc! In my life things are finally getting real. After this semester at Dixie I will have my associates degree an I'm so excited to start my bachelors program in Legal Studies at UVU. This last week has been crazy. I got my acceptance letter into the program (which was such a hassle). Not only that but I was able to have a phone meeting with my advisor about what classes I will be taking in the spring. UVU knows how to do things. They make organizing your semesters so easy. I already have most of my degree planned out. So after all the transfer stuff I had two other worries. A job and a place to live. Well, luckily for me I have a great connection. PF. I know. I've been there for 5 years. Shouldn't I move in? Well, yes someday I will, but who could deny a job without having to really do anything but ask? You'd be stupid. So Spanish Fork Pizza Factory here I come. That just leaves housing arrangemnrs andi have a few ideas there. I'm so grateful for everything coming together so smoothly. I have a habit of worrying and hat takes most of it away. Well, here s to living life!!

McFly. The Roxy. 9-10-12.
I don't even know where to start guys! I'm so grateful for the opportunity I had to see McFly. I know... they are just a band.. but, they are the band that got me through high school and just the past 8 years of my life.
There are so many things that McFly represent in my life:
Amazing Music- You want a good band to listen to? Listen to McFly! Not only do they play their own instruments (which can be rare) but, they are attractive and have such a varying music genre that nothing is the same.
Inspiration- every member of McFly has a different personality. Different personalities that you'd think would clash in any normal situation. But music and life has brought them together. Being a successful English band like they are, they have found many ways to give back. They have gone to Uganda countless times to build schools for those who need them. Harry, the drummer, is very athletic and he has been known to run marathons and other things to raise money for great foundations.
Friendship- They have the ultimate friendship. LIke I said, they kind of have different personalities. Yet, they have a friendship like none other. They are always laughing and having a good time.
Anyway, not only did Kylee, Cami, and myself have the opportunity to go to one of their concerts, but it was also their first ever US tour. They originally planned on doing only two shows. One in LA and one in NY. Both shows sold out in less than 2 minutes. 2 MINUTES! Needless to say two more shows were added in both LA and NY for more to be able to attend. How amazing is it to come to find that you have more fans that you ever thought possible?
It was so fun to come together as McFly fans outside the Roxy. We all share at least one common interest....and that's McFly.
We were lucky enough to get a great spot in line which assured us a great spot in front of the stage (considering it was general admission) We literally spent the 2 hours of the concert 5 steps away from McFly... Yeah... amazing!

Well, I thought maybe it was time for another Phantom based post considering my blog is named after such a thing.
I was flipping through Phantom a while ago (the book) and as I did so, there were a few quotes that stood out to me that I didn't really pick up on the first few times I read the book... which I suggest everyone do. It's so great! (I'm only biased a bit...)
Anyway, if I remember correctly Erik, the Phantom, is talking to Christine... she brings up the name that the people at the opera house have given him. 'The Phantom', and this is what he says: “If I am the phantom, it is because man's hatred has made me so. If I am to be saved it is because your love redeems me.”
Even though it's not in the same context as Erik states it, but there are so many times that we perceive people for what others tell us. Now, hatred is an extremely strong word, but even a small dislike or even annoyance from one person to another is easily transmitted to others. It's crazy to think that something as simple as that can change a possible friendship, relationship, or other things.
We are so easily influenced by others words, actions, and opinions. I don't think we realize how someone close to us can really have a huge impact on our feelings towards another person. Phantom expresses how, sure, he can be the Phantom, but he didn't make himself that, somebody else did. We have the same influence.
I also like how Erik ends his statement by saying: "If I am to be saved, it is because your love redeems me." All it takes is one person to stand up and save another. It doesn't have to be anything big, but something as simple as getting to know someone before letting somebody else's opinion get in the way. Or, not even that much. It could be something much smaller that 'saves' someone.
I feel like sometimes my blog posts have no meaning whatsoever... nobody really reads them anyway! Haha
Anyway, with my Phantom spiel out of the way I can give you a bit of what's going on in my life.
Since school has started, that has taken up a majority of my time and energy...like right now how I should be sleeping instead of blogging... but it's going to be a great semester. My last one at Dixie and then I can start the Paralegal program at UVU. There are so many adventures awaiting me in the very near future and I don't really know what to think or do.
I'm kind of in search for friends... It's kind of a weird time... I've grown a lot recently and yet, I still can't seem to get the social aspect of my life down quite right. Oh well, it'll happen when it's meant to.
I am loving my YSA ward. It honestly took me a long time before I felt comfortable, but now that I am, I feel that I can get a lot more out of it. With school just starting, the ward sprouted A LOT it's so fun to see all the new faces and as the RS Secretary it's my responsibility to get to know them. It's way out of my comfort zone, but so good for me!
McFly is coming up! September 10 is the day!!!! I cannot wait! Seriously seeing them in concert is one of my dreams! And it's coming true!!! (McFly always calls for exclamation marks!!!!!!)
Well, that's the most of my thoguhts for the night. I really should get to sleep now.
Always, from my seat in Box 5,

Home, it's where the heart is...
Lately... I've realized how much I love my family. My pup. My home. My bed! I've spent the last... well, almost month... dog sitting. I love every minute of it, but there is also that crazy living out of a suitcase and living at other peoples houses. Luckily, they are places I am very comfortable in, but nothing beats home. It's been good for me to experience this though, January is going to come a lot faster than I think and I will be moving and I will be on my own!
Anyway, you never realize how much the little things make a huge difference. I took advantage of the company. I mean, dogs are great, but that don't exactly communicate the same way a human does. McKinlee is always there to make you laugh (either at her or with her). My mom, always there for a good chat (even if I do ramble and ramble AND ramble). Kylee, well she usually works the opposite schedule, but she is always there to relate. Dad, He's the one I've really missed in this whole thing. He works out of town, so I don't see him as it is, weekends are when we see each other, and I've kind of not been there.
Family is so fantastic! That's really what I'm getting at.

I've been looking at ( or at least trying to) look at the world from a different perspective. There is so much about people that you don't know, and yet we are all so quick to judge or make assumptions. So I've finally brought my thoughts together and decided to view the world from my "Box 5". View my life and others from a spot where I'm not really seen or included.
Like I was saying, there is so much we don't know about everyone around is no matter how often we are around them. Whether someone is sad, lonely, scared, or really anything else, most likely we don't know that. Im guilty of this very often. I put on a happy face so that I don't have to deal with it or just because I do t want to bother other people.
Kris Allen sings a beautiful sing called "Vision of Love" I want to post the whole s g because it's that good but I'll spare you that. Here are some of the best parts:
Lonely needs a friend
Ask him where he's been
You could be the Light that comes
And turns his world around
Don't we all want to help someone we love? Someone closers to you could be feeling lonely and all you need to do is remind them how much they mean it you. Turn their world around :)
I don't wanna run, I don't wanna hide
When someone needs somebody
I don't wanna say, I don't got the time
When someone needs somebody
With a little faith and a little soul
We can't go wrong
It doesn't take much to help someone. Don't be that person to run away. Take a stand and just be a friend. You can't go wrong.
When a heart breaks
And the world shakes
Will we stand for the vision of love?
When a tear falls
And the fear crawls
Will we stand for the vision of love?
Now, adding love to this equation is kind of random but thats pretty much my favorite part.
Make-up hides her face
Cos she feels out of place
She cries
Come on someone tell this girl she's beautiful
I am absolutely in live with this verse. We all have our ways to hide and nobody is the same, something as simple as a compliment or even asking how someone is and being sincere can make a difference. And I LOVE the way Kris sings that last line...
Anyway, just don't forget that everyone is struggling with so,etching and it does t take much to help them even in the slightest.
Well, I shall continue to view the world from my seat in Box 5

Savasana
Savasana... what, you may ask, does that mean? Well, it's the most important pose in yoga. It's also called dead body pose. A pose where you are literally lying on your back, completely still, very much like a dead body.
With life as crazy as it can be savasana is exactly what everyone needs for even just a few seconds. 90 minutes of pain or 90 years? Bikram is constantly reminding me of that throughout that hour and a half. I'll take the 90 minutes and be happy for the 90 years!
Bikram Yoga is kind of a new obsession of mine. It's the best 90 minute workout that I've ever experienced. 100+ degrees. Humid to the max. Sweat running down your face. So perfect! Sounds like Heaven right? You might not think so, but how do you know until you experience it?
Always from my seat in Box 5,
Kav

Changes
With life comes a lot of things that you don't expect. Some are changes made for the good, others are made out of sheer stupidity. It's what we call "being human". With these changes comes an opportunity for me to make some changes and even corrections in my life. Hence, the new blog. Things were just too much in the past... I wanted to keep the memories, but also to start fresh.
So begins my journey from Box 5. Now, I know a lot of (if not most) of you have no idea what I'm referencing. If you do, then bravo to you! Box 5 is a Phantom of the Opera reference. Probably one of my favorite concepts. Yes, it is just a theatre box, but it's the one that has the most meaning in the story.think of the perspective of the story from the point of view of Box 5.
Gaston Leroux wrote Phantom (the book) with the vision of every single bit of information being true. He wrote that book to the extent that made you believe that the Phantom (Erik) is real and the things he does and believes are in the name if music, love, creativity, and brilliance. All things that I strive for in my life. The O.G. Haunts my dreams in a way, he is my Angel of Music..
Enough with the Phantom referencs for noe...So many changes are coming in my life. And with all the fear and new experiences to come, I know that I will learn from every moment that is to pass. I want to share my journey with all of you and I hope that maybe you can learn just as I do.
Well, I'll call it an end for my new beginning.
"She's singing to-night to bring the chandelier down!”
― Gaston Leroux, The Phantom of the Opera
